Remotely access computer via BCSnet

Remote Desktop Connection to remotely access computer via BCSnet


From PC

To access your PC machine from home, login onto BCSnet and then from there connect to your machine.  Instructions for connecting from a Windows machine:
  1. Connect to BCSnet
    1. From an internet browser, go to http://www.bellevuechristian.org
    2. In the menu across the top of the BCS website, click on Resources
    3. Under Resources, select BCSnet
    4. This will open a page that allows you to connect to BCSnet and choose your connection speed
    5. Select your desired connection speed: Low / Medium / High
    6. When asked to open or save, choose Open
    7. This will open an .RDP file, which will open in Remote Desktop Connection and allow you to login to the BCSnet machine
  2. From BCSnet, connect to your machine (if desired)
    1. Once logged in to the BCSnet machine, go to the Start menu and type Remote Desktop Connection and click to launch
    2. For computer, enter your machine name: MachineName
    3. Press Connect to login to your machine

From Mac, iOS or Android

If you are using a Mac, iOS or Android device, follow these instructions:
  1. Connect to BCSnet
    1. Download the Microsoft Remote Desktop application from the devices app store
    2. Launch Microsoft Remote Desktop
    3. Click New to create a connection to a remote computer and fill in the following fields:
      • Connection Name - enter whatever name you want to call this connection
      • PC Name - bcsnet.bellevuechristian.org and use your BCS credentials (email/password)
      • Username - BCS email
      • Password - BCS password
    4. Close the New Connection window
    5. Select the connection you just created and click Start to connect to BCSnet
  2. From BCSnet, connect to your machine (if desired)
    1. Once logged in to the BCSnet machine, go to the Start menu and type Remote Desktop Connection and click to launch
    2. For computer, enter your machine name: MachineName
    3. Press Connect to login to your machine
